Vassili Voronin, born in St. Petersburg in 1980, graduated with honours from the violin class of Prof. Antonina Kazarina at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory there. He completed his concert exam with Prof Ariadne Daskalakis at the Cologne University of Music and then worked as an assistant in her class for two years. He studied chamber music and string quartet with Prof Hatto Beyerle at the University of Music in Hanover and then completed his musical training with Prof Dora Schwarzberg at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
Vassili Voronin has won prizes at international competitions. He made his debut with his quartet at the Berlin Philharmonie in 2006 and has since performed in numerous European countries, including the Stockholm Philharmonic and the Palau de la Musica in Valencia. He has been principal 1st violin with the Aachen Symphony Orchestra since 2011.
He has been teaching violin and chamber music at the Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy in Düsseldorf since 2012.
