Tetiana Muchychka is an accordion virtuoso born in Ukraine. She began playing the accordion in her hometown of Uzhgorod (Ukraine) at the age of six. At the age of 15, she laid the foundation for her musical career at the D. Y. Zador Music School. In April 2013, she won first place at the international accordion competition “Zakarpatsky Edelweiss”. In 2015, she enrolled at the Folkwang University of the Arts under Professor Mie Miki and completed her Master of Professional Performance in 2022. Throughout her studies, she received multiple scholarships from various foundations, including the Alfred and Cläre Pott Foundation, Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Rhein-Ruhr, DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) STIBET I, STIBET III, and the Werner Richard – Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation. Soon after, she was selected for the “Best of NRW” concert series for the 2019 season, comprising 13 solo concerts held across North Rhine-Westphalia. She performed at renowned venues such as the Beethoven-Haus, Apollo Theater Siegen, and Schloss Borbeck. Tetiana Muchychka performs not only in Germany but also in Ukraine, Hungary, and Italy. In Italy, she participated in the Palermo-Classica Festival 2021, playing in a quintet series and performing as a soloist with the Palermo-Classica Orchestra. In the summer of 2022, she recorded her debut album “Spirit of the Epoch”. She refined her musical skills through masterclasses with renowned accordionists such as Yurij Shishkin, Alexander Poeluev, Artem Nyzhnyk, Janne Rättyä, Maciej Frąckiewicz, Lars Holm, Richard Galliano, and Claudio Jacomucci. Since the summer semester of 2024, she has been working as a freelance lecturer for accordion at the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein in Düsseldorf.
