Fabiana Trani, born in Trieste, studied at the “Giuseppe Tartini” Conservatory there with Prof. Evelina Vio and during this time won various prizes at both national and international competitions. She completed her education with studies with Susanna Mildonian, Susan McDonald, Vera Dulova and Phia Beghout.
From 1985 to 1988 she attended Sabine Kulke’s harp class at the Musikhochschule Köln, where she passed her concert exam with distinction.
Since 1985 she has been principal harpist of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra /Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and has taught her own master class at the Robert Schumann Musikhochschule Düsseldorf since 1997.
From the winter semester 2016/2017 she will be teaching harp at the Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy in Düsseldorf.
