The International Summer Academy 2016 takes place this year in Florence (Italy)

September 1 – Concert of the participants
Aim of the masterclass: intensive work of the core repertoire and beyond, preparation for concerts, competitions and auditions. Every participant will receive four lessons minimum (60 min. each); selected students will perform in the final concert.
Yuri Bondarev – Viola
Yuri Bondarev was born in St. Petersburg into a family of musicians. After his graduation final recital in Berlin, he decided to continue his musical career as a viola player and joined the class of Prof. Tatjana Masurenko at the Hochschule fur Musik „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig. Yuri has performed as a soloist and as a chamber musician in Russia, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Greece, Japan and many other countries. Further chamber music groups took him to concerts in Musikverein in Vienna, Gewandhaus in Leipzig and Sala Verdi in Milano. In 2009 he took up the position of Co-Principal Viola at the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra and from 2012 he also Docent at the International Music Academy “Anton Rubinstein”.
Gabriele Leporatti – Piano
Italian pianist Gabriele Leporatti performs both as soloist and as chamber musician in Europe, USA and China in venues such as the Wigmore Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the He Luting Hall in Shanghai. Graduated “Magna cum Laude” from Florence Conservatory, he was a pupil of Fabio Bidini, Maria Tipo, Jerome Rose and Joaquín Achúcarro. He regularly gives masterclasses worldwide, e.g. at the International Keyboard Institute & Festival at the Hunter College in New York. In addition he is active as an artistic director and advisor at concert series and festivals and a jury member at international competitions. Since 2012 he teaches piano at the International “Anton Rubinstein” Academy in Düsseldorf.
