The International Anton Rubinstein Competition for chamber music 2018

The International Anton Rubinstein Competition for chamber music 2018 supports and promotes talented, young musicians, music students, soloists, and prospective orchestral musicians by providing a platform for competition and with its prestigious awards.

The Competition take place in International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein, Flingerstr. 1, 40213 Düsseldorf.

 Conditions and FAQ

  1. The International Anton Rubinstein Competition for Chamber Music 2018 is organised by the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein and takes place in the chamber music hall of the Anton Rubinstein Music Academy, November 24-25, 2018.
  2. Musicians of all nationalities may take part in this competition in all ensemble formations (max. 8 players) and there is no age limit.
  3. The competition is divided in two rounds after wich the Jury will choose the winner(s).
  4. The First Round takes place per Video-Link, ( YouTube).  The results will be communicated October 29th, 2018 per Email.
  5. The Final Round takes place in the chamber music hall of the Anton Rubinstein Music Academy in Düsseldorf.
  6. The Final Round of the competition is open to the public.
  7. The Jury will decide after the First Round the ensembles (max. 20) admitted to the Final Round.
  8. The performance order will be decided by the Jury.
  9. The repertoire for the First Round is free, max. 30 minutes long.
  10. The repertoire for the Second Round is free, max. 30 minutes long.  It is possible to repeat the program of the First Round.
  11. The works which require a prepared piano are not possible to be performed.
  12. The jury has the right to interrupt any performance that exceeds the 30-minute time limit.
  13. The competition’s results and Ceremony Awards will take place on November 25th, 2018 at around 20:00.
  14. All participants must be present when the competition results are announced.
  15. With their registration, participants authorize the organizer, i.e. the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein, to use all photo, video and audio material of the competition at its discretion.
  16. The decision of the jury is final and incontestable.
  17. With his or her registration, the candidate agrees to the rules and regulations of the competition.
  18. Registration Deadline: October 15th 2018.  The registration fee is 50 € per Person (till September 15th, 2018 is 40 €).
  19. The registration fee is nonrefundable.
