The Final Round of this competition was not  in the Academy building this year, only online.  The life restrictions due to the Corona Pandemic and the travel limitations unfortunately din’t allowed it anymore.

In accord with the Jury, the Academy decided to opt for a Video Final Round.
Today the Jury of the Anton Rubinstein International Cello Junior Competition 2020 awarded the following prizes:

1st Prize – 500 € to Damodar das Castillo

1st Prize – 500 € to Yelin Han

3rd Prize – 300 € to Tikhon Evlanov

Special Prize for the best interpretation of a work by N. Paganini „Theme  from ‘Moses in Egypten’“ – Maria Mafalda Mazzon

Special Prize for the best interpretation of a Concert of J. Haydn – Simon Dörfler
