12. April - 22. May 2022, Dusseldorf

Dear Violists,

unfortunately Prof. Masurenko cannot come to the master class in Düsseldorf this year due to personal reasons.

For this reason, the master class will take place in a different format.

The lessons with our docent Yuri Bondarev can be arranged individually in a period from 12.4.22 – 31.5.22.

Location of lessons: Düsseldorf or if entry is not possible – by Zoom.

Registrations are considered according to the date of receipt. All
participants that are accepted will be notifified.

Tatjana Masurenko comes from a family of Russian scientists and jazz musicians. She studied in St. Petersburg and then in Germany with Kim Kashkashian and Nobuko Imai. Her expressive and distinctly passionate style of playing and the very personal timbres of her viola give her an unmistakable profile and distinguish her as one of the world’s important and leading interpreters in her field. Tatjana Masurenko is also a passionate and popular teacher; since 2003 she has taught as a professor at the Leipzig Academy of Music and Theatre.

Yuri Bondarev, born in St. Petersburg and a graduate of Tatjana Masurenko’s Leipzig master class a few years ago, has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at venues including the Vienna Musikverein, Gewandhaus zu Leipzig, Milan Conservatory, Tonhalle Düsseldorf and Alte Oper Frankfurt. Since 2009 he has been deputy principal violist of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, and since 2012 lecturer for violin, viola and chamber music at the Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy.
