In order to apply for an entrance examination, interested students must send the following to The Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy:

Examination fee of 100€ (intern study programs)
Examination fee of 450 € (for Master of Music in cooperation with Switzerland))

The Entrance Examinations for the Academy’s Certificate and Preparatory Programs will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, at the beginning of each semester, or with prior arrangements with the admissions office. Each applicant must present a program of his or her own choosing, consisting of at least three contrasting pieces from different musical epochs. Students who are unable to take the live examination in Düsseldorf may make a DVD of the audition pieces, which can be mailed, emailed, or linked to, (ie. YouTube or Dropbox).

The Entrance Examinations for the Bachelor and Master Degree Programs will take place Düsseldorf, Germany (for Master of Music in cooperation with Kalaidos University), in Tilburg Netherland ( for Master of Music in cooperation with FOntys Highschool of music)  and in either La Spezia or Castelfranco Veneto, Italy. Please see the requirements of the audition exams on the corresponding page. Students who are unable to take the live examination in Italy may send a DVD of the pre-recorded audition by mail.

After a successful entrance examination, each student will receive a contract of study with Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy, in which the financial and legal obligations of both parties are stipulated.

With prior arrangement, the Academy offers any interested applicant a one-time, free-of-charge, individual consultation.

The standard duration of study is usually 2 to 6 semesters. The Academy offers a minimum of 15 lesson hours per semester, in addition to any other courses. The winter semester is from October 1st to March 31st and the summer semester is from April 1st to September 30th.
