Igor Tchetuev was born in Sebastopol (Ukraine) in 1980 and won at the age of 14 the Grand Prix of the International Vladimir Krainev Young Pianists Competition (Ukraine) and was a student of Maestro Krainev.
In 1998, at age 18, he was the First Prize Laureate of the Ninth Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition, and was also voted “Audience Favourite”.
2013/14/15 Igor Tchetuev is the guest of Orchestre National de Bordeaux (Beethoven n°3), Bilbao Symphony Orchestra under Günter Neuhold (Tchaikovsky Concerto n°1), Russian National Philharmonic under Ken-David Masur (Beethoven Triple Concerto), Orchestre Pasdeloup in Salle Pleyel (Beethoven concerto n°3), Prague Symphony Orchestra (Beethoven 4 & Tchaikovsky n°1), Orchestre National de Montpellier (Tchaikovsky n°1/Ari Rasilainen), Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille (Rachmaninov n°3/ Adrian Prabava).
He gives numerous recitals in France and Europe amongst which, his return to the White Nights Festival in Saint-Petersburg where he performs a solo recital and duo with Ferruccio Furlanetto. He is at the Wigmore Hall, Salle Gaveau, Festival de Menton, Festival de Colmar, Chopin Festival Paris, Montpellier Festival, Lille Piano Festival, and plays chamber music at the AmsterdamConcertgebouw, also at the Prague Rudolfinum, Mariinsky Theatre, Berlin Philharmonie, Scala di Milano, Wiener Staatsoper, Opera Garnier, Paris, accompanying Ferruccio Furlanetto.
Igor Tchetuev has recently performed as piano soloist with Orchestre National de France, Mariinsky Orchestra, WDR Orchestra Köln, Halle Orchestra, Moscow Virtuosi, St Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, Polish National Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, Bern Philharmonic, NDR Hanover, Santa Cecilia Orchestra, Orchestre de Bretagne, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Dortmund Orchester, New Japan Philharmonic, Miami New World Symphony, Orchestre National de Lille, Orchestre de Tours etc… under such conductors as Neeme Järvi, Valery Gergiev, Günther Herbig, Semyon Bychkov, Evgueni Svetlanov, Vladimir Spivakov, Marc Elder, Rafael Frubeck de Burgos,Maxim Vengerov, Alexander Dmitriev, Justus Franz, Maxim Shostakovich, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Maxim Vengerov, Vladimir Sirenko, Vladimir Vakoulsky and so on…
Each year Tchetuev gives a number of appearances in select events for instance, the Saint-Petersburg Festival, the Mariinski Theatre, the Scala di Milano, the Wigmore Hall, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Festival de Menton, the Colmar International Festival, the Menuhin Festival Gstaad, the Klavierfestival Ruhr, the Braunschweig Festival, Sintra Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Festival, Zino Francescatti, Paris, Louvre Auritorium, Festival Chopin Paris, Accademia Philharmonica Romana, Festival de Radio France et Montpellier not to mention the festival of La Roque d’Anthéron, where he appeared for an evening acclaimed recital (Chopin 24 Etudes).
He plays chamber music with cellist Xavier Phillips, violinists Valery Sokolov, David Grimal, Fanny Clamagirand, Chloë Hanslip, Andrei Bielov, oboist Alexei Ogrintchouk, the Szymanowski Quartet.
Igor Tchetuev makes then regular recital tours in Europe and his recordings have received numerous awards and accolades: he recorded with the violinist Andrei Bielov all Prokofiev Sonatas for violin and piano for Naxos label. He also recorded a recital of “Romantic Etudes” with Schumann, Chopin, Liszt, Scriabin, with Tri-M Classic of Japan, the Three Chopin Sonatas for Orfeo in Germany which was applauded by critics (Le Monde de la Musique, Classica…), “Alfred Schnittke: Complete Piano Sonatas” (Caro Mitis, Russia) (Preis der Deutschen Schallplatten Kritik in Germany, R10 in Classica-Repertoire in France and a magnificent article in Gramophone Magazine) and his last recordings are the first six volumes of Complete Beethoven Sonatas (Caro Mitis, Russia) with fabulous press critics.

Born in 1986 in Belfort, France, Valentine Buttard is a concert pianist and piano teacher. She studied at the Musikhochschule of Hanover (2005 – 2015) with Vladimir Krainev, Matti Raekallio and Roland Krüger. She performs regularly in France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and teaches in Berlin. In addition to her activities as a musician she has been involved since 2009 in an intense practice of meditation, yoga and mindfulness, and in 2016-2017 she undertook a training program in this domain (MBSR: Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). She is now able to transmit this practice to other musicians as well as non-musicians in classes, training sessions and workshops.
