Biography 

Die koreanische Sopranistin Yeonjoo Katharina Jang studierte an der Seoul National University und 2017 erhielt sie einen Bachelor of Music. Während ihres Studiums stellte sie ihr musikalisches Talent unter Beweis, indem sie zahlreiche nationale Wettbewerbe gewann, wie den Dong-A Music Competition, den Korean Voice Competition, den Korean Classical Singers Association International Vocal Competition. Auch erfolgreich debütierte sie als Königin der Nacht in W. A. Mozarts Oper Die Zauberflöte am Kulturzentrum der Universität in Südkorea. Nach ihrem Abschluss ging sie zum weiteren Studium nach Deutschland und im folgenden Jahr begann ein Masterstudium mit einem DAAD-Stipendium an der Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar. 2019 bekam sie ersten Preis im Vienna Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, silbernen preis im Paris Music Competition, dritten Preis im VRICMF Music Competition und spielte Papagena aus der Oper Die Zauberflöte von W. A. Mozart am Studiotheater Belvedere, Olympia aus der Oper Les contes d`Hoffmann von J. Offenbach als Coversängerin am Deutschen Nationaltheater Weimar.

Elisey Laptev, Russland

Biography 

Elisey Laptev  was born in the 15th of July in 1994 in Ufa. At the moment he is graduate student and a teacher of the Department of Vocal Art and Opera Training at MGIM named after A.G.Schnittke by a teacher Mikhail Lizin (People’s Artist of Russia, Professor, Head of the Department of Vocal Art and Opera Performing at MGIM named after A.G. Schnittke). The type of  voice is Bass. Elisey Laptev is laureate of the international competition named after Zagir Ismagilov in Ufa (2016) and a laureate of the international vocal competition in Lisbon (2017) and a laureate of the international competition of vocalists named after Natalia Spiller (2019) in Moscow. He worked two years in the Russian Drama Theater in Ufa, and worked as a soloist in the city palace of culture in Ufa. At the moment he sings in the men’s church choir and in the opera studio at MGIM named after A.G. Schnittke.

 Conditions and FAQ

  1. The International Anton Rubinstein Vocal  Competition 2019 is organized by the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein in Dusseldorf and will take place in the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein in Dusseldorf, Germany on November 2th & 3th, 2019.
  2. Singers of all nationalities and ages may take part in this competition.
  3. The competition will take place in two rounds, from which the Jury will decide the winners.
  4. The first round will be completed via video link on YouTube . The results will be announced via email on October 1th, 2019.
  5. The final will take place in the Concert Hall of the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein, Germany.
  6. The final of competition is open to the public.
  7. A maximum of 20 candidates will be advanced to the final. This decision will be made by the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein, using the recordings from the first round.
  8. The International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein will determine the order in which the competitors perform.
  9. The repertoire for the first round can be freely chosen by the candidate, but must be at least 30 minutes long.
  10. For the final, the candidates must present a program which does not exceed a 30 minute time limit.  The repertoire choice for the final is free and may include works from the first round.
  11. In the final, the jury has the right to interrupt any performance that exceeds the 30-minute time limit.
  12. The works, which require a preparation of the grand piano, are excluded from the competition.
  13. The candidates are allowed to bring their own accompanists. However, if need be, and with prior arrangement, the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein will also appoint a pianist for the competitors. The fee for the pianist is 100€, (to be paid after the selection in the Final Round), and includes a 20 minutes rehearsal and the competition performance.
  14. The final results will be announced on Sunday evening, November 3th, 2019 about 7:30 pm.
  15. All participants must be present when the competition results are announced.
  16. The decision of the jury is final and incontestable.
  17. With their registration, participants authorize the organizer, i.e. the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein, to use all photo, video and audio material of the competition at its discretion.
  18. With his or her registration, the candidate agrees to the rules and regulations of the competition.
  19. Registration Deadline: September 24th, 2019
    Registration fee: 75€ before August 24th, 2019 and 100 € thereafter.
  20. The registration fee is non-refundable.
