The Final Round of this competition was not  in the Academy building this year, only online.  The life restrictions due to the Corona Pandemic and the travel limitations unfortunately din’t allowed it anymore.

In accord with the Jury, the Academy decided to opt for a Video Final Round.
Today the Jury of the Anton Rubinstein International Cello Competition 2020 awarded the following prizes:

1st Prize – 1000€ to Sam Lucas

2nd Prize – 750€ to Dominic Seunghyun Lee

3rd Prize – 500€ to Connor Kim

Special Prize for the best interpretation of a work by J. Brahms – Nam Jeongheon.
