The International Anton Rubinstein Competition 2020 – VIOLIN JUNIOR is open to all young violinists whose goal it is to become successful professional musicians, and who are between 8 and 15 years old.

The International Anton Rubinstein Competition 2020 – VIOLIN JUNIOR offers young musicians a unique opportunity to test their abilities and level of musical development as young artists, meet and connect with other musicians, and last but not least, have the chance to win an array of prestigious prizes.

Biography 

Die im Jahr 2004 in Stuttgart geborene Geigerin ist seit ihrem zwölften Lebensjahr Jungstudentin in der Violinklasse von Prof. Laurent Albrecht Breuninger an der Musikhochschule Karlsruhe. Meisterkurse bei Julia Fischer, Kirill Troussov, Paul Rozcek, Coosje Wizenbeek, Leonid Sorokov, Ingolf Turban und Florin Szigeti geben Impulse und Inspirationen. Mit 15 Jahren ist Morgane Voisin bereits mehrfach erste Preisträgerin nationaler und internationaler Wettbewerbe: Bereits im Alter von sieben Jahren wurde sie mit einem 1. Preis beim Internationalen Arthur Grumiaux Wettbewerb in Belgien ausgezeichnet. Darauf folgten 1. Preise beim Internationalen Wettbewerb „Vatelot“ und dem Internationalen Concours „Flame“ in Paris, sowie den 2. Preis und einen Sonderpreis beim Internationalen „Andrea Postacchini“ Wettbewerb in Italien. 2015 gewann sie den „Grand Prix Jeune Espoir“ beim Wettbewerb der Sommerakademie Flaine mit anschließendem Solo Recital im Theater „ La grande Scène du Chesnay“ in Paris. Bei der Internationalen Manhattan Music Competition in den USA im Jahr 2018 erspielte sich Morgane als jüngste Preisträgerin den Young Virtuoso Award. 2019 ist sie 1. Preis – und Sonderpreisträgerin beim Bundeswettbewerb „Jugend musiziert“ verbunden mit der Aufnahme in die Förderung der Jürgen Ponto Stiftung. Im Alter von sieben Jahren debütierte Morgane als Solistin mit der Philharmonie Baden-Baden im Rahmen der Konzertreihe „Junge Solisten aus Baden“. Sie konzertiert außerdem regelmäßig bei Veranstaltungen der Internationalen Musikakademie Liechtenstein und spielte 2015 in Russland beim Festival „Moscow meets friends“ unter der Leitung von Vladimir Spivakov. Morgane konzertiert regelmäßig als Solistin oder kammermusikalisch in Frankreich, Italien, der Schweiz, Österreich, Polen und Deutschland. Zuletzt auf Einladung beim internationalen Musikfestival in Weingarten. Als jüngste Laureatin des 24. Wettbewerbs des Deutschen Musikinstrumentenfonds spielt Morgane Voisin seit Februar 2016 eine Violine von Giovanni Battista Zanoli, Verona 1760, einer Leihgabe der Deutschen Stiftung Musikleben.

Biography 

She was born in İzmir Turkey in 7 April 2006. In 2013 she began her violin education with Lily Tchumbridze at Mersin University State Conservatoire in Turkey. In 2014 July she was accepted to Dora Schwarzberg’s master class held as a part of İzmir International Music Festival. At this master class she studied with Dora Schwarzberg and Tuncay Yılmaz. She gave solo performance at the end of this program. In 2015 February she joined the Alexander Kagan’s master class held at Mersin University Conservatoire. In March 2015 she attended to 8th International Grumiaux Competition for Young Violinists in Namur in Belgium. Here she performed Fiocco Allegro, Mazas Etude no:44, Seitz Concerto no:3. Although her first experience abroad, she received the 3rd prize amongst 23 competitors. In 2015 May she received the 1st prize at her age category at Harmony International Competition and Festival held in Antalya, Turkey. At 2016 Bilkent Violin Days masterclas held by Conservatorium of Bilkent University, she studied with Lyutsiz Ibragimova, Mincho Minchev and Cihat Aşkın. At the closing concert here she performed Obertas by Wieniawski. With Mersin State Opera and Ballet Orchestra she performed as a soloist Beriot Concerto no.7 in 2016 April and in October Wieniawski Legende. Same year she was nominated Nevit Kodallı Young Talent Prize by 15th Mersin International Music Festival. She was selected to play at Young Soloists Concert at Eskişehir B.B. Symphony Orchestra in January 2017 and here she performed Spohr Concerto no.2. In March 2017 she received the 2nd prize at the 10th International Grumiaux Competition for Young Violinists in Brussels. Here she performed Paganini Caprice no.16, Fiocco Allegro ve Spohr Concerto no.2. In 23 April 2017 she played as soloist with Muğla Municipality Orchestra. Between 20-26 April 2018 she made a concert tour performing Kabalevski op.48 Violin Concerto first movement with Ankara Presidential Symphony Orchestra, Samsun State Opera Ballet Orchestra and Bursa Symphony Orchestra. She attended the master class that Gülsin Onay was the artistic director of 2018 as part of the 15th International Gümüşlük Classic Music Festival. Here she studied with Alexander Markov and Erkin Onay and performed Tartini Kreisler Corelli Sonat Variations at the closing concert. She won the Rising Stars elections by IsSanat and played Bartok Roman Dances, Viotti Koncerto no.22, Vitali Chaccone, Wieniawski Scherzo Tarantella op. at the recital on 18 in December 2018 at Milli Reasurans Istanbul. With this performance she was nominated with Meric Soylu Rising Stars Special Prize by IsSanat. She won the young soloists election of the Mersin University Conservatory and she performed Wieniawski Scherzo Tarantella together with the academic chamber orchestra in April 15, 2019. Same month in 26th she performed Vitali Chaconne with Cukurova State Symphony Orchestra. In May 2019 she won the first prize and the best romantic composer performer at IX. Harmony International Competition and Festival in Antalya. In June 2019 Tiblisi she played Vitali, Wieniawski and Bruch concerto at the first edition of the string instruments competition nominated to Marine Iashvili, and won the second degree at her category while the first position left empty. Presently she is studying with Lily Tchumbridze as full time at Mersin University State Conservatoire in Turkey.

 Conditions and FAQ

  1. The International Anton Rubinstein Competition  2020 — VIOLIN JUNIOR is organized by the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein in Düsseldorf and will take place in the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein in Düsseldorf, Germany on April 5th, 2020.
  2. Violinists between the ages of 8 and 15 years old may take part in this competition..
  3. The competition will take place in two rounds, from which the Jury will decide the winners.
  4. The first round will be completed via video link on YouTube. The results will be announced via email on March, 6th, 2020.
  5. The final will take place in the Concert Hall of the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein, Germany.
  6. The final of competition is open to the public.
  7. A maximum of 20 candidates will be advanced to the final Round. This decision will be made by the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein, using the recordings from the first round.
  8. The International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein will determine the order in which the competitors perform.
  9. The repertoire for the first round can be freely chosen by the candidate, but must max. 15 minutes long.
  10. For the final, the repertoire can be freely chosen by the candidate, but must be ma. 15 minutes long.
  11. The program for the final may include works from the first round.
  12. The jury has the right to interrupt any performance that exceeds the applicable time limit.
  13. The candidates are allowed to bring their own accompanists. However, if need be, and with prior arrangement, the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein will also appoint a pianist for the competitors. The fee for the pianist is 100€, (to be paid after selection in Final Round), and includes a 15 minutes rehearsal and the competition performance.
  14. The final results will be announced at the end of the competition day.
  15. All participants must be present when the competition results are announced.
  16. With their registration, participants authorize the organizer, i.e. the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein, to use all photo, video and audio material of the competition at its discretion.
  17. The decision of the jury is final and incontestable.
  18. With his or her registration, the candidate agrees to the rules and regulations of the competition.
  19. Registration Deadline: February 28th, 2020
    Registration fee: 75€ before January 28th, 2020 and 100 € thereafter.
  20. The registration fee is non-refundable.
