Scholarships

With the support of the “Freunde und Förderer“ of the International Music Academy Anton Rubinstein and the Blatow Foundation
In cooperation with the Beethoven Conservatorium Venlo

Each semester, we grant two exceptionally talented young musicians a scholarship to study for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at the International Academy of Music Anton Rubinstein (study locations Düsseldorf or Berlin).

Our scholarship holders in the winter term 2021/22:

The Spanish pianist Rubén Russo received his previous training at the Conservatory and the University “Alfonso X” of his hometown Madrid as well as at the Conservatorio Superior del Liceu de Barcelona. The prize-winner of numerous renowned competitions (most recently Barcelona and Moscow) is supervised by Gabriele Leporatti and Olga Monakh.

Russian violist Sofia Ugusheva, born in Arkhangelsk, trained at the St. Petersburg Conservatory since 2013 (until 2017 at its Special Music School). As an orchestra musician, she has already played in the Baltic Sea Philharmonic and the NDR Youth Symphony Orchestra. She is taught by Yuri Bondarev.
